Named after one of the birds frequently spotted here, Coot's Cabin is nestled between both waters, this pod is a fisherman's dream... with direct access to the Carp Lake and also the Match Pool, plus your very own fisherman's shelter with camp bed, lighting & power for those night fishing sessions!

How many does it sleep?

Coot's Cabin has a double bunk bed, sleeping 4 in total.  This pod is designed for a family of four, two adults and two children,

What equipment does it have? 

This is a fully equipped pod, with small kitchen area, all of your crockery / cutlery etc, bed & bedding, dining table and sofa, plus TV & DVD player.  Outside, it has a small undercover cooking area with sink / gas bbq and camp cooker, log burner and stump seats, dining set , festoon lighting and also an outside bath!  The bath is heated by a log burner and wood is provided for each night of your stay.  If you'd like extra wood, this is available at £16.50 per wheelbarrow load.

Is Fishing available?

 

Fishing isn't just available, it is included in the price for up to two adults and two children!  Complimentary use of the nearest two fishing pegs on both the family friendly Maylea Pool and Colehurst Carp Lake are included.   However, you must adhere to our fishing rules and ensure everyone has a valid fishing licence.  Please let us know at the time of booking if you will be fishing.

Are there any other facilities nearby?

This pod has it's own flushing toilet in an adjoining 'loo shack' and the shower shack is a short walk away.  (This has a compost toilet and electric shower).  

We also have a sociable area with small shelter, comfy seats and games that anyone is able to use during the daytime only.  This area is not permitted to be used in the evenings without permission & is reserved for any special events.
