Market Drayton is a small market town, only 3 miles away from our site, with a handful of lovely tea rooms/coffee shops, pubs & restaurants.  Some of the local takeaway restaurants also deliver to our site!  The Shropshire Union Canal also provides a great place to walk, watch nature or just sit with a flask and watch the boats chug past. 

 

However, if you wished for a larger town with more shopping, bars and restaurants, Shrewsbury & Telford are both approximately 30 minutes away.  These both have cinemas and many places to eat, drink and visit. 

 

Shrewsbury being the country town of Shropshire is steeped in history with beautiful architecture.  The River Severn winds through it, offering beautiful riverside walks through the large Quarry Park and many coffee shops & bars amongst the cobbled streets.

Telford is a much newer, more modern town, which has recently had a large investment in its Southwater complex close to the Ice Rink and shopping centre with many restaurants and bars.
