
INFORMATION AND TERMS & CONDITIONS
YOUR ARRIVAL AT COLEHURST LAKE CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES BELOW.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Arrivals are between 3pm to 7pm for Moorhen's Rest and 3.30pm to 7pm for Coot's Cabin unless early arrival is agreed. There is no reception on site, so please advise us of your expected arrival time so we can greet you.
All vehicles must remain in the car park at all times. Wheelbarrows are available in the car park to assist in transporting your luggage to your pitch. We will also be on hand to assist you.
You must have vacated the pitch by 11:00 am on the day of your departure.
BOOKING DETAILS & ADMISSION
Please note only those named when booking can stay on site, name changes would need to be agreed in advance and with 48 hours notice.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians
Only you and your party are permitted on-site, strictly no other visitors allowed.
No hen/stag parties or large groups allowed unless agreed in advance as a booking of the whole site.
STAFF WORKING HOURS
The owners and staff are available between 8am and 6pm every day. Any log orders need to be done before 4.30pm. Please do not disturb them outside of these times unless in the case of an emergency.
HAZARDS & CHILDREN
We are family-friendly, but the site has many natural hazards, please be always aware of these and act responsibly.
Children must be accompanied and always supervised.
The new play area is for young children, under the age of 10 years old. Please ensure the equipment is used responsibly. All play equipment is used at your own risk.
VEHICLES
No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
Under no circumstances are vehicles allowed on the bank of the lake.
BBQs
Our BBQs are fuelled by gas, please ensure you use it safely, turn the gas off promptly after use and clean the BBQ as best you can before you leave.
FIRES
Campfires are included, but we reserve the right to prohibit fires in certain weather conditions if we deem it unsafe.
You must act responsibly when having a campfire and never leave the fire unattended, nor leave children alone by the fire without supervision.
You must only use the kiln-dried logs provided to you by us, we do not allow any wood other than our logs to be burned on site to ensure the site remains smoke-free and safe.
Do not collect wood from around the site or use your own.
Do not burn rubbish on your fire.
Do not make a fire anywhere other than your designated campfire stone ring or log burner.
SMOKING
No smoking or naked flames allowed inside the cabins or tents.
Candles are allowed outside, but please ensure they are blown out when you are not with them.
You may smoke outside but please ensure you put cold cigarettes ends in the bin, do not drop them on the ground.
RUBBISH & RECYCLING
Please collect all your rubbish and use the rubbish bins as appropriate, separating recyclable items like bottles, cans, and plastics so we can all do our bit to look after our planet!
NOISE, BEHAVIOUR & DAMAGES
We are a small and quiet site and wish to keep it this way! We want you to enjoy your time here, but please ensure you and your family/friends remain respectful to the lake, owners, other campers & our neighbours at all times.
Please always keep noise to a minimum and ensure children supervised. No loud music.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume.
Quiet times between 10pm and 8am.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
There is strictly no admittance to the private section of the lake bank where the owners live.
We reserve the right to charge a damages fee of up to £100 if everything is not left as it should be.
We reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee of up to £50 if a dog/pet is found to have been staying in the pods.
Firearms are not permitted.
FISHING
Fishing is included in the price for all glamping pods and pre-erected tents, but you must ensure you hold a valid rod licence. These can be obtained from GOV.UK here: Buy a rod fishing licence: When you need a licence - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

NO ADMITTANCE TO THE WATER
For your own safety, there is strictly no swimming, or paddling in the lake or stream unless pre-agreed. It may be possible to use your own kayaks etc on the water by pre-agreement only and there are no fishermen on site.
