A family fishing event to get the children outside and enjoying fishing! Float fishing match of 2 classes for different ages, with cash prizes to be won!

About the event
Family Float Fishing Match Day
Limited tickets, which must be bought in advance. The event will go ahead in all but extreme weathers. No refunds, but tickets are transferable up to 48 hours before the event.
Class 1 - Adults & mini-anglers (6 & under)
Team of 2 = 1x Adult & 1x Child (6 & under) with ONE shared rod.
£15 per team (including 1 pint of maggots)
Most fish caught = winner
Arrive from 8am.
Check in for peg allocation (random draw) 8:15am.
Match time 1 & 1/2 hours from 9am – 10:30am.
Count & Awards 10:30 – 11am.
Prizes: 1st - £25 2nd- £15 3rd - £10
Class 2 - Adults & juniors (7-17 incl.)
Team of 2 = 1x Adult & 1x Child (between 7 & 17) with TWO rods.
£20 per team (including 1 pint of maggots)
Most fish caught = winner
Arrive from midday or earlier if you wish to spectate Class 1.
Check in for peg allocation (random draw) 12:15pm.
Match time 3 hours from 1pm – 4pm
Count & Awards 4pm – 5pm.
Breakfast baps, drinks & snacks available.
Prizes: 1st - £50 2nd - £25 3rd - £15
Please keep a note of your catches & also put fish in a keep net. Those with the top numbers will be counted out and verified to see who are the prize winners!
You must bring all of your own equipment, including keep-net & disgorger. Barbless hooks only.
Please ensure these are properly cleaned and dried before use in our lake & pools to help us protect our fish.
Family spectators welcome - food & drinks will be available to purchase on the day.
Cars will be parked at the rear entrance - please follow the signs.
We have toilet facilities.

Bring the whole family – spectators are welcome & refreshments will be available throughout the day. 10:00 – Arrival time, check in & receive peg allocation, then set up. 11:00 - Competition starts! Match time 1 ½ hours from 11:00 – 12:30. 12:30 – Match finish time 12:30 to 13:00 – Count 13:00 – Result & Awards 13:30 – BBQ & Refreshments available You are welcome to stay to continue to fish, eat, relax & enjoy the rest of the afternoon until we close at 5pm.
