Colehurst Vineyard – free wine tasting
Planting at Colehurst Vineyard began in 2007. They planted 12 grape varieties, 6 Red and 6 White. The 4500 vines planted cover one and a half hectares and harvested and vinified their first vintage in 2009. The team at Colehurst Vineyard will be offering a delightful wine tasting session on Tuesday afternoon with the option to purchase a bottle of your favourite!
Foraging with Uncovered Natural Beauty
Come and enjoy a leisurely wander around the fishing lake and discover the wonders of nature. Find out how some of the hidden plants and wild herbs that some call weeds can be beneficial to us in both our kitchen and medicine cabinet from one of our foraging guides. Get to taste some beverages made with simple leaves from a few of these plants and learn how we can incorporate these into our daily routine and diet!
Readings with Local Author Eleanor Dixon
Eleanor will read an excerpt from her book Tally and the Angel, Book One India. This is the first in a series of the same name and appeals to both boys and girls from 8 to 13 yrs. Afterwards she will answer questions about the book, writing, publishing – whatever you want to ask. For example, you might want to know a little more about how the Angel got into the pendant!
Eleanor is also the author of The Graceful Ghost, shortlisted for the UK Selfies Award 2021
